Michèle Phillips started dancing in her home town of Timmins Ontario. She began assisting classes at the age of 12. Since French is her first language, Michèle was also selected to be an assistant for dance classes taught in French at "Centre Culturel Laronde". There she taught creative dance, ballet, jazz and tap to children aged 3 to 6. At the age of 16 Michèle received the Junior Teacher of Russian Style Ballet Certicate from the Russian Society of Ballet. After graduating from high school, Michèle proceeded to do a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Criminology from the University of Ottawa. After completing these degrees, she discovered that something was missing in her life, she began training again in dance. She had the opportunity to study in a one week program in Los Angeles where she studied under the guidance of industry professionals such as Shane Sparks and Miss Prissy. |
Upon her return to Canada, Michèle decided to pursue professional studies in the performing arts and completed the Commercial Dance Studies program at George Brown College. Since graduating from George Brown, Michèle has been the lead dancer in a Cindy Lauper commercial for EGALE Canada, has appeared on the Breakfast Television show as a Bollywood dancer and is currently a member of two dance troupes.
Michèle is extremely passionate about dance and teaching and is proud to serve the French community through Danse-Partout.
