Michèle Phillips started dancing in her home town of Timmins Ontario. She began assisting classes at the age of 12. Since French is her first language, Michèle was also selected to be an assistant for dance classes taught in French at "Centre Culturel Laronde". There she taught creative dance, ballet, jazz and tap to children aged 3 to 6. At the age of 16 Michèle received the Junior Teacher of Russian Style Ballet Certicate from the Russian Society of Ballet.

After graduating from high school, Michèle proceeded to do a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Criminology from the University of Ottawa. After completing these degrees, she discovered that something was missing in her life, she began training again in dance. She had the opportunity to study in a one week program in Los Angeles where she studied under the guidance of industry professionals such as Shane Sparks and Miss Prissy.
